Egypt’s stock market made gains worth 4 billion Egyptian pounds ($ 23.8 million) over the past week, as the market capital went up 4.1 percent to 820.7 billion pounds compared to 788.7 billion pounds in the previous week.
Benchmark EGX 30 rose 0.19 percent, closing at 14,69 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) went up by 1.61 percent to 804 points.
The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose 1.61 percent to close at 1,902 points.
During the week, the trading volue hit around 1.8 billion pounds on 263 million securities, executing 30,000 deals.
