Egypt’s New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has signed Sunday a cooperation protocol with Marriott International Group to execute two hotels in New El Alamein City, northwest of Cairo.
The two hotels’ capacity will accommodate 550 hotel rooms and 50 villas, according to Housing Minister Moustafa Madbouly, who attended the signing ceremony of the protocol.
“New El Alamein City is set to accommodate between 250,000 and 30,000 hotel rooms,” Madbouly stated.
Alex Kyriakidis, Marriott International’s managing director and president for Middle East and Africa region, said that his company is responsible for the technical supervision to establish, run, and market the two hotels.
“The portfolio of the company (Marriott International) reaches 18 hotels and resorts,” Kyriakidis stated, referring that they accommodate 7,2000 hotel rooms.
