As many as 400 domestic and global oil companies and 10,000 experts will take part in the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS), CEO of the Energy Sector at dmg events Christopher Hudson said in a press conference on Sunday.
Plans carried out by Egypt’s oil sector will help the country turn into a regional power hub, Hudson added.
About 40 technical sessions, several panel discussions and a session for occupational safety, health and environment will be organised on the sidelines of the conference, he noted.
Also, he hailed the full support provided by Petroleum Minister Tarek el-Molla to render the event a success, which in turn could contribute to conveying a message that Egypt is a promising country in the oil and gas industry.
The conference, which will be held on February 12-14 under the auspices of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, coincides with the positive economic shifts and the country’s ambitious development plans, in addition to the growing role of the oil and gas sector in the national economy, he said.
