CRC to finalise concrete structure of New El Alamein’s tallest tower in 2019

Egyptian Dorra Group’s unit Construction and Reconstruction Company (CRC) says it plans to complete the concrete structure works of the tallest residential tower in New El Alamein City, northwest of Cairo, before the end of 2019.

These works will cost around 1.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($84 million), said the company’s chief executive Tarek Soliman on Saturday.

Soliman further added that his company, which is affiliated to Dorra Group, has been earlier mandated to carry out The Gate, one of the tallest towers in New El Alamein.

“It is planned to finalise executing the anticipated fully furnished tower within a timeframe of 40 months instead of 56 months,” the Egyptian official noted.

Moreover, Soliman said that CRC has signed two contracts to implement new mega residential projects in the state’s New Administrative Capital. These works will encompass 12 residential buildings, including 400 units.

Located 40km (24.8 miles) east of Cairo, the under construction new capital city is part of the Egyptian government’s scheme to expand urban areas to deal with the state’s rapid population growth and improve the nation’s infrastructure.

The new city will be a 270-square-mile hub with 21 residential districts to accommodate five million people. It will feature 1,250 mosques and churches, a 5,000-seat conference center, nearly 2,000 schools and colleges, over 600 medical facilities and a park that is projected to be the world’s largest.
