Egypt’s Sisi has strong vision for Africa’s development: Cameroon Ambassador
Cameroon’s Ambassador in Cairo Mohamadou Labarang said Egypt’s chairmanship of the African Union under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is a good chance for Africa, noting that Sisi has a clear and strong vision for the continent’s development.
In statements to MENA on Friday, Labarang added that the achievements made in Egypt indicate President Sisi’s interest in development, not only in his country but across Africa as well.
This proves that Sisi’s chairmanship of the African Union in 2019 will be important for the whole of Africa, the ambassador told MENA on the sidelines of his participation in a ceremony marking the solar illumination of the face of Ramses II’s statue at Abu Simbel temple in Aswan.
Labarang said there is great cooperation between Egypt and Cameroon at the diplomatic and cultural levels, noting that his country is looking forward to furthering economic cooperation with Cairo.
