There are around 1,945 Jordanian firms operating in Egypt with investments currently amounting to $600 million, Egyptian Investment Minister Sahar Nasr said on Monday.
Egypt’s investments in Jordan reached $1 billion approximately, represented in 499 Egyptian firms operating in the Hashemite Kingdom, the minister added.
Nasr made her remarks during a meeting with a bunch of Jordanian firms ahead of launching the Egyptian-Jordanian higher committee event that will be headed by the prime ministers of the two countries in Cairo soon.
Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Sherif Kamel as well as Reda Bebars, Adviser to the Egyptian Investment Minister, and Khaled Ayad, Assistant to the Investment Minister, have attended the meeting.
