Atef Yacoub, chairman of the board of CPA, Consumer Protection Authority, said the agency launches joint campaigns with all control authorities to detect the companies, which has no license, market their bottled water products. This procedure came as a response to what has recently aroused around products that have no license in the markets.
He underscored the commitment to the health standards of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization & Quality, which closed wells of some countries. He called on the authority to rapidly the standard specifications of bottles water, as the health and safety considerations should primarily revised according the World Health Organization (WHO).
Yacoub referred that the crisis of the bottled water is due to the high demand, besides what has been spread lately about the safety of water in the some areas; turning some citizens to the bottled water.
