$25 to be collected from flight passengers – minister
Egypt will collect $25 from each passenger leaving the country on board regular and charter flights as a fee for services provided at Egyptian airports, said Civil Minister Younes El-Masry on Wednesday.
El-Masry has ordered that a $5 fee-for-service will be paid by passengers on all domestic flights.
He also decided to grant the state-owned carrier EgyptAir a 50 percent discount on the fees it pays for landing, parking and accommodation of its passenger aircraft.
