EgyptAir sixth, last Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner to take Beijing route
Sixth and last Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner of the state-owned carrier EgyptAir will operate between Cairo and China’s Beijing starting Sunday, the national airliner said on Wednesday.
EgyptAir said the Dreamliner arrived to Cairo International Airport from Seattle on Wednesday, marking the last delivery of aircraft contracted between EgyptAir and Boeing since March.
The 787-9 Dreamliner can seat up to 309 passengers, divided into 30 diamond super-full-flat beds in business class and 279 in economy class.
The aircraft is part of a $6 billion upgrade plan by the national carrier to acquire 45 new planes from different companies, in what Egyptair described as the biggest-ever deal made by the company.
