During Monday closing session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted gains EGP 1.06 billion as the capital market has amounted to EGP 386.887 million.
The EGX indices closed in green.
The main index, EGX30 edged up by 0.51% to close at 5638.71 p. EGX20 hiked by 0.75% to end at 6481.59 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 inched higher by 0.22% to conclude 513.59 pts. Price index EGX100 rose by 0.24% to finish at 851.25 p.
Traded volume reached 107.107 million securities worth EGP 311.470 million, exchanged 17.969 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 161 listed securities; 61 declined 69 advanced while 31 keeping their previous levels.
EGX’s closing gains were backed by non-Arab Foreigners’ buying transactions.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers 78.52% and 6.69%respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 14.633 million and EGP 6.641 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, the non-Arab Foreigners were net buyers seizing 14.79% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 21.275 million excluding the deals.
