Egypt, Qatar explore financing plans for Gaza reconstruction

Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdel-Aty discussed on Wednesday with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani efforts to mobilise funding for the Arab-Islamic Early Recovery and Egypt’s Reconstruction Plan for Gaza.

The talks come ahead of Egypt’s International Conference on Gaza Reconstruction, which is being co-hosted with the United Nations and the Palestinian government.

The meeting, took place in Doha, also addressed the outcomes of recent Arab and Islamic summits, with both sides emphasising the urgent need to accelerate humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza.

Additionally, the ministers explored strengthening bilateral economic, trade, and investment ties, underscoring the deep-rooted partnership between Egypt and Qatar.
