Egypt Stocks end in Green Notes with EGP3.5bn Gains

Egypt’s stocks finished higher on Tuesday with gains worth 3.5 billion Egyptian pounds (US$ 458.5million).

The market capitalization has reached 499.007 billion pounds during the closing session of Tuesday.

Indices

Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 raised by 1.17 percent to 8847.59 points.

EGX20 surged by 0.77 percent to 9292.82 points.

In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 hiked by 0.50 percent to 468.38 points.

The price index, EGX100 went higher by 0.54 percent to 985.73 points.

Turnovers low

On Tuesday, the bourse’s trading volume has recorded 137.539 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 637.315 million, exchanged through 23.357 thousand transactions.

Also during the closing session, 160 listed securities have been traded in; 43 declined, 79 advanced; while 37 kept their previous levels.

Investors’ Activities

Arab and Non-Arab investors were net sellers on Tuesday getting 8.89 % and 34.35% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 11.635 million and EGP 14.850 million, respectively, excluding the deals.

On the contrary, the Egyptians investors were net buyers seizing 56.76% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 26.485 million, excluding the deals.
