Egyptian stock market opens Wednesday in green
The Egyptian stock market opened Wednesday’s trading session in green territory on the back of Arab buying.
By 10:18 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 15.33 points, or 0.09 percent, to 16,672.99 points.
The EGX70 index edged up 0.09 percent to 860.52 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.10 percent to 2,190 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.16 percent to 2,906 points.
Trading volume reached around 5.3 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 31.59 million pounds through 985 transactions.
Arab investors were net buyers with 2.12 million pounds, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net sellers with 254,900 pounds and 1.8 million pounds, respectively.
It has not been traded on the heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) yet.
