No relocations for Gaza reconstruction, says Egypt’s PM
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly announced on Thursday that Egypt is developing a comprehensive plan for the reconstruction of Gaza in coordination with the Palestinian authorities.
Speaking at a press conference, Prime Minister Madbouly emphasised that, historically, post-war and post-disaster reconstruction efforts—such as those following World War II—have been carried out without mass evacuations due to the high costs associated with relocation. He reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to a strategic and cost-effective rebuilding process that aligns with global best practices.
