TE will be a fierce competitor in Egypt’s telecoms industry: Executive President

When Telecom Egypt joins Egypt’s mobile services market as a new player, it will create a fierce competitive environment among the operators in favor of the final recipient of the services, TE executive president said.

Speaking at Cairo ICT 2016, Tamer Gadalla, Executive President of Telecom Egypt, further said mobile services represent 85 percent of Egypt’s telecoms market and are expected to achieve cumulative annualized growth rates of 35 percent.

Referring to Telecom Egypt’s recent acquisition of the 4G licence, Gadalla added that 2016 was a key year for telecoms sector which contributed to a number of accomplishments on top of them is setting a regulatory framework for launching 4G services.

Gadalla pointed out that the new 4G technologies will augment the internet speeds and improve the quality of the currently-provided services and introduction of new services for the benefit of all citizens.
