United States market briefing 08/05/2023

The United States market witnessed a drop in the Dow by -0.17 percent to 33,618.69, after it lost 55.69 points. The index recorded a day high value of 33,747.49 and a day low value of 33,509.23.

The NASDAQ remained unchanged at a value of 12,256.92.

S&P 500 rose slightly by 0.05 percent to reach a value of 4,138.12 at the end of the day’s trade. The index gained 1.87 points, recording a day high value of 4,142.30 and a day low value of 4,123.81.
