Metlico issues workers’ comp insurance policy for Kharafi National-Egypt

Egypt’s Misr Emirates Takaful Life Insurance (Metlico) has issued a compensation insurance coverage policy for Kharafi National-Egypt’s workers, said official sources in the insurance company on Thursday.

The policy is with a total sum insured of around 125.3 million Egyptian pounds ($7.8 million), the sources further told Amwal Al Ghad.

“The policy is to cover around 1,671 workers at Kharafi National,” the sources said.

The insurance policy will see coverage of natural death, and total or permanent partial disability, they added.

Moreover, Metlico plans to optimise its premium portfolio from collective policies, which capture five percent of the company’s total premiums, the sources said.
