Dell asks Cairo, worldwide staff to work from home over coronavirus fears
Dell Technologies Inc on Sunday recommended its employees in Cairo and worldwide to work from home to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
“The Coronavirus situation continues to evolve and Dell Technologies is monitoring the situation closely. Our top priority is to protect the health and safety of our employees, customers, partners and communities where we operate.” Dell said in a statement.
“Currently, we’re encouraging our team members globally to use remote access/work from home and the transfer of work to another location, where allowed by role.”
The company also said it was evaluating the employee travel policy as it had placed certain restrictions, including senior manager approvals for domestic travel and limits on international travel.
“We’ll continue to take the most appropriate actions as this situation continues to evolve.”
