Faisal Bank’s Transactions Up To EGP 39.6 Bln In September

The volume of transactions conducted by Faisal Islamic Bank of Egypt registered EGP 39.6 billion at the end of Q3 of 2012, compared to EGP 34.1 billion at the end of Q3 of 2011, with an increase of 16.2%.

The bank’s assets stood at EGP 39.5 billion, up from EGP 33.9 billion, with an increase of 16.4%.

The value of current accounts and savings instruments rose to EGP 35.8 billion on September 30th , compared to EGP 31.3 billion at the end of September in 2011, registering a growth rate of 14.1%.

The value of investment portfolio rose by 17.1%, registering EGP 37.1 billion, compared to EGP 31.7 billion. The value of liquid assets fell by 11% to reach EGP 2.2 billion, down from EGP 2.5 billion.

The ownership equity stood at 206 billion at the end of last September, compared to EGP 107 billion from a year earlier, registering an increase of 47%. The provisions declined by 12.7% to reach EGP 1.6 billion at the end of Q3 in 2012, down from EGP 1.9 billion at the end of Q3 in 2011.

The value of accounts held by the bank surged by 6.1%, registering EGP 1.020 million at the end of last September, up from EGP 961.9 thousand at the end of September 2011.
