Egypt’s stock exchange closes higher, EGX 30 gains 0.56% on Thursday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended trading higher on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index rising 0.56 percent to 11,051 points backed by local investors’ buyoff appetite.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) advanced 0.97 percent to 2,023 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped added 0.79 percent to 12,863 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 climbed 1.10 percent to 2,928 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 inched up 1.53 percent to 2,091 points.

Total market capitalisation has gained 2.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($133.3 million) to close at 620.849 billion pounds on Thursday.
Trading Aggregates
Also on Thursday, the trading value has approximately reached 4.2 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 371 million securities executed over 44,066 transactions.
