Egypt’s stock market ends mixed, EGX 30 falls 0.37% on Sunday

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed mixed on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index edging 0.37 percent lower to 10,858 points driven by local investors’ selloff.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 0.53 percent to 2,021 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped fell 0.31 percent to 12.955 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 added 0.25 percent lower to 2,945 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has posted slight gains worth 62 million Egyptian pounds ($3.9 million) to close at 629.303 billion pounds on Sunday.

Trading Aggregates      

Also on Sunday, the trading value has approximately reached 1.6 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 515.6 million securities executed 41,541 transactions.
