Trade exchange between Egypt and Kenya increased by 4.5 percent to $303 million during the first half (H1) of 2020 from $290 million in the year-ago period, the Head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Nairobi, Khaled Mansour said

Egypt’s exports to Kenya increased to $202 million in the January-June period from $193 million in the year-ago period, while the North African nation’s imports from Kenya grew to $99 million from $97 million in H1-19, Mansour revealed.

The top Egyptian exports to Kenya include sugar, soap, diapers, electronics, and pasta, while the most populous nation’s imports from Kenya include tea, who accounted for 90 percent of total imports, as well as some agricultural crops.
