CAPMAS says 23.4% increase in cost of treatment at state expense during 2019

New official results shows 23.4 percent increase in the costs of treatment at the expense of the state in 2019 compared with the rates of 2018, according to Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The number of the patients who were treated at the expense of the state reached 3.625 million in 2019 with a total cost of 10.375 billion Egyptian pounds in comparison to 2.632 million patients in 2018 with the cost of 8.410 billion pounds, CAPMAS said in its annual bulletin on the statistics of the health services in 2019 on Monday.
