Egypt’s stocks end mostly lower on Wednesday, benchmark EGX 30 falls 0.35%

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended mostly lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling 0.35 percent to 10,227 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) dropped 0.20 percent to 1,840 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped tumbled 0.62 percent to 12,553 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 dipped 0.09 percent to 2,748 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 decreased 0.42 percent to 1,917 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has on Wednesday incurred losses worth around 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($82.7 million), ending the trading at 636.579 billion pounds driven by local investors’ selloff.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 2.3 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 429.260 million securities executed 31,891 transactions.
