Egypt’s stocks close higher on Monday as benchmark EGX 30 surges 0.94%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index booming by 0.94 percent to 11,140 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) jumped by 2.38 percent to 2,913 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped surged by 1.11 percent to 13,576 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 climbed by 2.04 percent to 3,911 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 grew by 2.70 percent to 2,437 points.

The country’s market capitalisation has on Monday posted gains worth 7.4 billion Egyptian pounds ($470.7 million), ending the trading at 731.114 billion pounds.
