Egypt’s telecoms regulator announces working hours for holy month of Ramadan

Egypt’s telecoms regulator, the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) announced on Wednesday the new working hours of telecom operators’ outlets, as well as for audience interaction, during the holy month of Ramadan.

The working hours would be as follow:

Before Iftar:

  • Throughout the week: From 10:00 AM (08:00 GMT) to 04:00 PM (02:00 GMT)
  • On Friday: From 01:30 PM (11:30 GMT) to 04:30 PM (02:30 GMT)

After Iftar:

  • Throughout the week: From 08:30 PM (06:30 GMT) to 11:30 PM (09:30 GMT)
  • On Thursday and Friday: From 08:30 PM (06:30 GMT) to 12:00 AM (10:00 GMT)

Whereas the telecom outlets at shopping malls shall abide by the official working hours of these malls, NTRA added in a statement.
