Asian markets briefing 18/04/2023

The Asian markets witnessed a drop in Hong Kong’s main index, HSI, by -0.63 percent to 20,650.51. The index lost 131.94 points, recording a day high value of 20,742.39 and a day low value of 20,559.08.

China’s main index rose by 0.23 percent to 3,393.33, gaining 7.72 points. The index recorded a day high value of 3,396.17 and a day low value of 3,375.78.

Nikkei 225, Japan’s main index, inched up by 0.51 percent and gained 144.05 points. The index closed at 28,658.83 and recorded a day high value of 28,698.22 and a day low value of 28,520.76.
