The Egyptian General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) announced on Sunday that it has purchased 150,000 tons Brazilian raw sugar in a tender, as it did not give price details.
GASC added that the purchase comprised 100,000 tons bought from Viterra to arrive during September and October, and 50,000 tons from Alvean to arrive during September.
The Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Company said earlier this month that it was seeking to purchase 65,000 tons of raw sugar in a tender, and the deadline for submitting bids is August 5, 2023.
