Arab Misr Insurance Group (AMIG) insured the 44th Cairo International Book Fair which ended last January 9th, 2013 with EGP 10 million, said Makeen Lotfy, deputy general manager of Business & Products Development Sector at AMIG.
AMIG offered the book fair coverage against risks of political violence during the period of the fair which lasted from January 19th to February 9th, he added.
Officials have paid much attention to secure the Cairo International Book Fair amid the rampant security chaos. AMIG was chosen to insure the Fair because it is the first insurance company in Egypt in providing this kind of insurance coverage and it has experiences in insuring these events against risks of riots, terrorism and vandalism, in addition to acquiring strong position that will enable it to pay compensations.
