H. Kong’s jobless rate remains at 3.1%

Hong Kong’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained unchanged at 3.1 per cent during the period from September to November 2024. The underemployment rate also held steady at 1.1 per cent.

Total employment increased marginally by around 4,700, rising from 3,707,100 in August-October 2024 to 3,711,800 during the same reporting period. The labour force also grew slightly by around 3,600 during the same period.
