Malaysia’s exports rose for the second month in a row, increasing by 4.1 per cent year-on-year to 126.57 billion ringgit ($28.31 billion) in November, according to official data released by the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry on Wednesday.
Exports grew significantly, driven by key sectors like manufacturing and agriculture. This growth was fuelled by products such as electrical goods, palm oil, and machinery, the data showed.
In November, Malaysia’s trade increased by 2.9 per cent to 237.85 billion ringgit, with imports rising by 1.6 per cent to 111.28 billion ringgit. The trade surplus grew by 26.3 per cent to 15.29 billion ringgit, the highest in 14 months.
