Egypt advances state employee salaries for Jan–March

Egypt’s Finance Ministry announced on Wednesday that the early disbursement of January, February, and March 2026 salaries for state employees would coincide with Christmas and Eid Al-Fitr celebrations.

Ahmed Haridy, Head of the Accounts Sector and Financial Directorates, said five days have been allocated for paying salaries and entitlements, with three additional days for settling outstanding dues.

• January salaries will be paid starting 22 January, with arrears on 6, 11, and 12 January.
• February salaries will be disbursed from 22 February, with arrears on 8, 9, and 10 February.
• March salaries will begin on 18 March, with arrears on 8, 9, and 10 March.

Moreover, employees’ entitlements will be available through ATMs according to the announced schedule in the electronic financial system. Officials urged employees to avoid crowding ATMs, noting that salaries will remain accessible from the start date for each administrative entity.
