Gold prices in Egypt fell modestly on Thursday, despite gains in international markets, as domestic demand remained relatively subdued, according to official data.
By 4:05 p.m. local time (2:05 p.m. GMT), 24-carat gold was trading at 6,822.75 Egyptian pounds per gram, down 11.50 pounds, or 0.17 per cent, from Wednesday’s close of 6,834.25 pounds. Other purities recorded similar declines:
