Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.52 per cent to 51,443.07 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 1.14 per cent to 5,713.07 points.
- The index EGX35-LV fell by 0.76 per cent to 5,962.54 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, sank by 0.35 per cent, to 15,511.38 points.
- The EGX100 index plunged by 0.57 per cent, to 21,196.51 points.
The total market cap reached 3,691,565,357,428 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and Non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 10,552,781,373 Egyptian pounds, and 1,938,314,327 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 12,491,095,699 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments went up by 20.00 per cent to 25.440 pounds a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Transport & Commercial Services Co. -EGYTRANS NOSCO rose by 10.68 per cent to close at 11.300 pounds a share.
- The shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool jumped by 9.50 per cent, closing at 63.050 pounds.
Top losers
- The shares of Subscription Rights Of Aspire Cap Hold for Financ Invest-3 dropped by 11.11 per cent to 0.072 pounds at closing.
- The shares of Orascom Construction PLC fell by 6.99 per cent to close at 734.000 pounds a share.
- The shares of Natural Gas & Mining Project (Egypt Gas) sank by 5.48 per cent, closing at 49.140 pounds a share.
