Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the red area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went donw by 2.14 per cent, to 50,344.37 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 2.48 per cent to 5,571.32 points.
- The index EGX35-LV fell by 2.94 per cent to 5,787.38 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, sank by 2.85 per cent to 15,069.87 points.
- The EGX100 index plunged by 2.74 per cent to 20,615.24 points.
The total market cap reached 3,608,586,911,740 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with a total of 56,707,415 Egyptian pounds and 77,903,601 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers with 134,611,015 pounds.
Top gainers on Sunday
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments surged by 19.97 per cent, closing at 30.520 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing rose by 11.32 per cent, reaching 11.700 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Catalyst Partners Middle East –CPME went up by 4.63 per cent to close at 19.880 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Sunday
- The shares of Subscription Rights Of Aspire Cap Hold for Financ Invest-3 went down by 9.72 per cent to close at 0.065 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Lecico Egypt dropped by 8.65 per cent to close at 27.150 per cent a share.
- The shares of Egyptian Arabian(Themar)Comp. For Securities&Bonds Brok. EAC sank by 7.40 per cent, to close at 7.510 Egyptian pounds a share.
