Egypt’s National Investment Bank retains ISO 9001:2015 certification

Egypt’s National Investment Bank (NIB) has successfully passed the periodic external audit for the ISO 9001:2015 international quality certification without recording any non-conformities or observations.

According to the Cabinet’s statement on Tuesday, the audit, conducted by Bureau Veritas, confirmed the continued effectiveness of the bank’s quality management system and recommended the continuation of the certification, reaffirming NIB’s compliance with international standards.

The achievement comes as the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development moves forward with restructuring the bank to strengthen its role as the state’s development financing arm.

Minister of Planning and NIB Chairman Ahmed Rostom said the successful audit marks a key step in the restructuring plan, adding that the bank is continuing to modernise its operations, strengthen governance and risk management, expand digital transformation and upgrade its technological infrastructure.

The audit team also commended the bank’s internal control framework, employee training programmes, regular field monitoring and continuous improvement practices.
