Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Thursday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went up by 0.41 per cent to 54,737.07 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, climbed by 0.23 per cent to 6,533.13 points.
- The index EGX35-LV jumped by 0.15 per cent to 6,750.59 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, dropped by 0.70 per cent to 20,816.03 points.
- The EGX100 index fell by 0.49 per cent, to 27,052.41 points.
The total market cap reached 4,218,915,012,928 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers with 11,520,671,527 Egyptian pounds and 173,199,480 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net sellers with 11,693,871,007 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Industrial & Engineering Projects went up by 20.00 per cent to 1.092 pounds a share.
- The shares of El Kahera El Watania Investment rose by 19.99 per cent to close at 102.280 pounds a share.
- The shares of Copper For Commercial Investment & Real Estate Development jumped by 9.38 per cent, closing at 0.525 pounds.
Top losers
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline dropped by 10.14 per cent to 425.030 pounds at closing.
- The shares of Egyptians Real Estate Fund Certificates fell by 6.95 per cent to close at 20.090 pounds a share.
- The shares of Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool sank by 6.73 per cent, closing at 191.210 pounds a share.
