Egypt’s offshoring services exports hit $5.2bln in 2025

Egypt’s offshoring services exports reached $5.2 billion in 2025, with global technology and business services companies expanding operations beyond Cairo and integrating generative artificial intelligence (AI).

The sector includes 252 companies operating 282 global delivery centres, including 177 multinationals employing more than 195,000 specialists, according to a statement issued Wednesday.

The expansion was highlighted during a tour of technology and business services providers in Alexandria by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Communications and Information Technology Minister Raafat Hindy and officials. Teleperformance (TP), Concentrix, Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS), and Sutherland together employ nearly 15,000 specialists in Alexandria.

Madbouly said the government aims to expand offshoring, attract investment, create high-value jobs and increase digital service exports, while extending operations beyond Cairo to tap Egypt’s multilingual talent pool.

Teleperformance employs around 26,800 people in Egypt and generated €280 million in service exports in 2025, with exports projected at €344 million in 2026. It plans to add 18,000 jobs over the next three years.

Concentrix employs 24,500 people across 13 centres and targets $1 billion in investment over four years and a workforce of 35,000 by 2028.

VOIS employs 9,500 specialists in Egypt and generated €200 million in service exports during the current financial year, while Sutherland employs more than 6,000 people, over 70 per cent of them in Alexandria.
