Egypt extends Sunday remote work for government employees through September

Egypt’s Cabinet approved extending remote work for employees of government bodies and facilities on Sundays throughout September 2026, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly’s office said on Wednesday.

The decision extends Prime Ministerial Decree No. 982 of 2026, which introduced Sunday remote work for employees at entities covered by the decree, the Cabinet said in a statement following its meeting chaired by Madbouly.
