Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly red on Monday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.13 per cent to 54,866.04 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, dropped by 0.10 per cent to 6,548.36 points.
- The index EGX35-LV rose by 0.25 per cent to 6,809.61 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, fell by 2.06 per cent to 20,893.38 points.
- The EGX100 index sank by 1.51 per cent, to 27,262.44 points.
The total market cap reached 4,287,264,432,246 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with 21,002,719,551 Egyptian pounds and 387,739,604 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 21,390,459,155 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Arabia Investments Holding rose by 10.28 per cent, to close at the price of 0.665 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokerage climbed by 10.15 per cent, closing at the price of 2.170 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Memphis Pharmaceuticals jumped by 9.03 per cent, to the purchasing price of 446.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Egyptians Real Estate Fund Certificates fell by 20.00 per cent, to close at 33.250 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Certificates Of Odin Egyptian Equity Investment Fund-KASAB declined by 19.93 per cent, to close at 9.320 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline dropped by 17.51 per cent, to close at the price of 340.720 Egyptian pounds a share.
