Egypt and the US signed a framework agreement on strategic objectives for promoting mutual prosperity on Wednesday, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and supporting economic growth in Egypt.
The agreement seeks to expand cooperation across key sectors and leverage American institutional and technological innovations to improve the efficiency of Egypt’s water, energy, and infrastructure systems.
It also covers the modernisation and development of education, healthcare, and governance systems, to qualify Egyptian professionals and create more job opportunities.
The framework identifies water management, artificial intelligence, and energy as key areas of shared strategic interest. It also aims to strengthen Egypt’s food security through science-based agriculture.
