Egypt expects to offer the tender for a river bus project next October, according to a ministry official.
Atter Hannoura, Head of Public Private Partnership (PPP) Central Unit of the Ministry of Finance, said the ministry is targeting offering the project, with total cost up to EGP 540 million in a tender for a group of investors next month.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad on Monday, Hannoura added that the project aims to increase the number of existing river bus stations from 16 to 28 to extend from El Qanater El Khayreyya till Helwan station, and to reduce pressure on traditional transportation methods.
