The 2016 edition of Egypt’s leading property exhibition, Cityscape is now open to the public after being inaugurated Thursday by Egyptian Housing Minister’s aide for Technical Affairs, Khaled Abbas.
The exhibition witnesses this year the attendance of 90 local, regional, and international exhibitors, from Egypt, Cyprus, Lebanon, Malaysia, and UAE.
The Egyptian real estate market is witnessing a substantial growth in terms of volume of projects being offered in the current phase, said Abbas.
“The current investments in the Egyptian real estate market are exceeding 200 billion Egyptian pounds.” he said.
“Cityscape Egypt Exhibition is witnessing this year a distinguished collection of major investment projects, which reflect a positive indicator that Egypt has a promising and attractive market.”
Growth rate in the Egyptian real estate currently stands at 16 percent, Abbas said, referring to expectations of seeing more than 20 percent growth in the coming years.
50 percent of the current real estate projects are going for the middle-class housing segment, Abbas stated.
The exhibition takes place at the Cairo International Convention Centre for four days, from 7 to 10 April.
