The Japanese side is studying the possibility of establishing an industrial zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone encompassing large number of key Japanese industries, Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar said.
The minister further noted that the project would contribute with enhancing the industrial cooperation between Egypt and Japan, as well as transferring the advanced Japanese expertise to the Egyptian industries.
This came during a meeting with a Japanese businessmen delegation currently visiting Cairo to participate in the 11th Egypt-Japan Business Council and the Japan-Egypt Investment Forum.
Egypt- Japan Business Council was established in 1999, which is an association representing major business enterprises engaged in joint activities and cooperation.
