Egypt’s Royal Insurance has won an insurance policy tender to cover the assets of a plant for manufacturing and packaging preserved food against fire in Sixth of October City.
Egyptian International Insurance Brokerage Co. (IIBC) had earlier mandated Royal Insurance to cover all the risks that may occur to the plant, said chairman Mohamed Hassan on Thursday.
The one-year policy is a total sum insured up to 300 million Egyptian pounds ($18.6 million), Hassan further told Amwal Al Ghad.
“The policy will cover the plant’s facilities and properties against damages related to fire and burglary as well as additional risks,” he said.
