Egypt bourse’s indices climb in October; market cap gains EGP 12bn

The Egyptian Exchange’s indices grew in October, while market capitalisation gained 12 billion Egyptian pounds ($743.5 million), according to Mubasher on Saturday.

The benchmark index EGX 30 rose by 2.11 percent to 14,558 points last month. EGX 70 added 3.63 percent to 539.27 points.

EGX 100 went up by 3.14 percent to 1,436 points, while EGX 50 increased by 3.35 percent to 2,100.74 points.

Market capitalisation grew to 727.7 billion pounds over the month, from 715.4 billion pounds in September.

Trading volume recorded 5.5 billion shares, while liquidity hit 44.2 billion pounds.
