Tourism Slams Hesham Kandil’s Decision Of Establishing Authority For Pilgrimage

Tourism Division, at Federation of Egypt Chamber of Commerce,  will convene a meeting next Monday to discuss the government decision of establishing supreme authority for pilgrimage; according to statements of Dr Hesham Kandil, Egypt’s Prime Minister. As the PM announced that establishing an independent authority and headed by a minister.
Amary Abdel Azim, head of Tourism Division, criticized the state’s idea of establishing this authority; elaborating that organizing the pilgrimage and Umrah is the right of tourism companies and completely supervised by the ministry of tourism. Moreover, the tourism companies has great experience in organizing pilgrimage; referring that the state’s budget can’t afford establishing an authority takes over the file of pilgrimage.
Abdel Azim referred that the tourism companies are the most successful in supervising pilgrimage, and they don’t face any problems in organizing.
He said a supreme authority could be established and headed by the ministry of tourism and includes other authorities concerned with the ministries of interior and aviation.
