Egypt reports 510 new coronavirus cases in largest single-day spike on Sunday

Egypt recorded 510 new coronavirus cases on Sunday – the country’s biggest single-day spike in confirmed infections, bringing its total number to 12,229, according to a health ministry’ statement.

The country also reported 18 deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 630. However, 222 patients have fully recovered and have been discharged from quarantine hospitals and facilities, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,172.
