Egypt may reach Zero new coronavirus cases by mid-July: Minister
Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar said that the state is expected to reach zero coronavirus infections by the middle of July according to scientific studies of the pandemic adding that e infection rates is expected to decrease in first week of June.
He added that only 2,000 coronavirus patients out of Egypt‘s total infections at quarantine hospitals.
He also noted that it is expected that the total number of coronavirus infections will reach 40,000 by end of pandemic.
COVID19 crisis management and pandemic monitoring are based on science, professionalism, noting that the coronavirus growth curve is not exceeding 5.5 percent.
During his speech at the inauguration of Bashayer El-Khair 3 development project in the presence of President Abdel fattah El Sisi, Abdel-Ghaffar said that the daily infection rates between 500 and 100 is not concerning at all.
