Egypt invests EGP 335m to develop Beni Suef’s power grid

Egypt’s Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy announced that it has carried out expansion plans as part of its efforts to raise the efficiency of the power grid in Beni Suef governorate.

A total value of 335 million Egyptian pounds was invested in expansion and substitution projects aimed at increasing the efficacy of Beni Suef’s power grid and improving the quality of services provided to customers during the period from 2014 to 2020, according to an official statement.

In a bid to keep pace with technological advancement and fix electricity bills’ errors, the ministry installed a total of 190,000 prepaid electricity meters and 4,000 smart meters in the governorate.
